Ok, I am new at blogging so don't shoot me if it's not up to par. I will get better I promise. As I was searching on the internet, I realized blogging was about my trials and tribulations through out the day.
This is my business blog, so the sensible thing is to write about my days as the Candle Lady. If you want my personal blog, it is The New Woman.
Yesterday I took the day off from selling, why? Everyone needs a day off to catch up with other things. What am I going to do today? Making phone calls, hostess packets and sending out emails.
If you want to succeed in your home business, you have to take it seriously. No one is going to hold your hand or just hand you a paycheck. You have to get out there and work it.

Team Leader
What does Team Leader mean to you? Leadership to me means being there for your team, listening to their problems, and helping them solve whatever dilemmas they have.
It does not mean, signing up people left and right so that you can leave them hanging in the wind. There are some leaders that do this and I don't agree with it.
I am taking the time to help people in my area so that they can be the best that they can be. I am getting the Vendor Fairs and letting my team know about them.
I care if you succeed or not!! There is no I in Team Work!!

You never know
just where you meet new contacts and friends. I was asked by a very good friend to attend a Tupperware party. I haven't been to a Tupperware party in many years.
I actually had a good time. I met alot of wonderful ladies, that I would not have met if I didn't go.
My friend has a beautiful house and I was happy to see that she had our Banana Nut Bread burning. I was relieved knowing that she was burning a clean-burning Gourmet Candle. I didn't have to worry about Black soot on her beautiful walls, furniture or in her families lungs.
I made quite a few contacts last night, I tried to keep the Gourmet Candles talk to a lull. Remember, I was at a Tupperware Party and didn't want to step on anyones toes but I did walk away with more then three contacts and a possible party.
Having the sign on my rear window helped alot.
Today I am off to drop off a Hostess Packet and then call my contacts. My goal is to have at least 5 contacts a week and I surpassed that last night.
Remember Attitude and Persiverance is the key!!!

Things are wonderful
Since I decided to make my candles my FT career, life has been wonderful. I have met alot of wonderful people that want to stay home with their families. They just don't know how or where to begin. I am able to help their dreams come true.
Someone told me that when one door closes and another door opens, It is true. I am now stepping out of comfort zone and pushing myself to the limit.
I held a Team Meeting yesterday and it was fantastic!!! Met alot of wonderful people and even booked a home show. I am now working on my hours, not a 9 to 5 JOB. I can take a vacation without begging for time off. This is my life, not someone else's to control.
I wish to attend a team conference call, that will be my next step.

What do I do now?
About three weeks ago, I was laid off from my FT job and didn't know what I was going to do. Well, I am happy to say, LIFE IS WONDERFUL!!
Why is it wonderful, you ask? Because I now have the opportunity to live my life the way I want.
How often do you say, I wish I could stay home and be able to support my family. Well, I am telling you it can happen.
I set my own hours, and do Fundraisers, Shows and Retail Sales. If your living in the Tampa Bay area, and wish to have friends over for a great time, just let me know.
